About the portal - BBMP Delimitation 2009 |

Consequent to formation of Bruhat Bangalore Mahangara Palike (BBMP),
process of Delimitation of Wards has been taken up and the draft delimitation proposal for 198 wards is published
With a view to provide the citizen of Bruhat Bangalore with comprehensive
information about the composition of BBMP and the delimited wards along
with details of
localities forming a particular ward, an integrated GIS database has been developed
www.bbmpwards.org is a web based GIS platform for sharing the information amongst the citizen of Bangalore.
It facilitates one to understand the limits of each ward with constituent localities. It allows citizen to understand their virtual migration in to new ward from the
erstwhile ward in which they were located.
It is hoped that Bangaloreans make best use of the portal and provide their valuable
suggestions
